A message from Lt. Gov. Carol:
July Division Council Meeting
Thursday, July 15 at the Kiwanis Family House
Host Club: Woodland  Time: 6:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Agenda
Highlights of the July 15 DCM:

  • Guests included Austin Wu, Lt. Governor Key Club Div. 7 South, and two
companions from D7 Key Clubs.  Austin gave a terrific overview of his vision for D7
South Key Club activities for the coming year.  He is an excellent speaker, and
acknowledged his predecessor, Lt. Gov. Ryan Chang, for all the accomplishments in
2009-2010.  Austin also acknowledged the support and leadership from Division 7
Kiwanis Clubs and expressed a desire to work closely with the clubs in the coming
    year.

  • The Davis and Greater Davis clubs continue discussion about merging in the coming
year.  The two clubs have partnered on several service projects this year and all is
    going well.

  • Marv Hale of the KFH club has tickets ($10) for a drawing, with proceeds going to the
Kiwanis Family House.  Contact Marv is you can help sell tickets for this worthwhile
    cause.

  • District convention is just around the corner and the early registration deadline is
    looming (Registration Link).

  • I presented a PowerPoint presentation on the Eliminate project.  The slides are
available on the related web site and all clubs are encouraged to begin creating
awareness about our new Worldwide Service Project.

  • The meeting was hosted by Woodland. Many thanks to the host members; one of the
seven(!) new members operates a café in Woodland and the deli-style meal was
    terrific!
